After starting its journey in Amsterdam then London, Plek came to life on Currie St in Adelaide in 2016. Owner and head Barber, Anthony Taverna, opened Plek as a space for anyone wanting a haircut to come, sit, enjoy a complimentary drink, and have a good chat. Anthony built the shop based on building relationships with people and it paid off. Soon after Plek went from a one man shop to hiring and training others to join him.
